The freehold of Park buildings is owned by Abacus, who is represented by Homeground for ground rent and lease extensions.


Rendall and Rittner and the Park RTM board do not play any role in the lease extension process, this process happens between each leaseholder and Homeground.

Lease Extension

Should a leaseholder wish to extend their lease their lease, Homeground have an informal application process in place.  Due to the many variables that can affect the cost of a lease extension, Homeground are unable to provide an approximate cost prior to receiving an application. 

A leaseholder can apply by logging in to their online account at www.homegroundonline.com and select the form located within the Services tab. Homeground recommend reading the frequently asked questions and information sheet before submitting. 

Should a leaseholder decide to proceed with the lease extension, the £160 administration fee will be refunded upon completion by way of deduction from the premium.

Upon receipt of an application and fee, Homeground will endeavour to provide an informal quote on behalf of the freeholder within five working days.

Freehold Purchase

The freeholder is not in a position to offer the freehold to individual leasehold flat owners on an informal basis.  However, this does not affect their statutory right under the Act to seek the purchase of the freehold as a collective enfranchisement.  At least 50% of the leaseholders in the block will be required to participate.

Homeground are unable to provide a quote and recommend leaseholders seek independent legal advice and serve a Section 13 Notice.
