Fire Safety

Park Buildings have regular and structured fire assessments.

All three buildings are protected by fire detection and prevention systems that are regularly tested.

  • Front Doors

    Each flat must comply with the lease and ensure their front doors are in good working order and any renovation work complies with building regulations.

  • Corridor Obstructions

    Please do not obstruct corridors, stairways or doors with any objects. They could be a trip hazard or prevent safe access and egress.

     Fire doors must not be wedged open.

  • Smoking

    You must NOT smoke in any communal area.

Fire Risks - E-bikes and E-scooter

Please ensure that people in your flat (including tenants) are familiar with this guidance note.

Electric bike batteries are a major cause of preventable fires in London, with a fire every other day. London Fire Brigade, e-bike and e-scooter safety advice.

Many of these fires are caused by incompatible chargers, modifications to e-bikes, or faulty or counterfeit products which are purchased online. This includes chargers, lithium batteries and conversion kits for e-bikes. 

All Park Building residents must take steps to prevent this risk. If you see anybody with a modified e-bike or damaged battery then report this to the concierge and the R&R Building Manager so urgent action can be taken to prevent a fire. 

Please also ensure you are familiar with advice and guidance from the London Fire Brigade on charging safely.
